Tooth Whitening now legal in UK
On 30th August 2011 the Council of the European Union ammended Directive 76/768/EEC so that as long as an approprite clinical examination has taken place, and a dental practitioner directly supervises the treatment and the patient is over 18 products of sufficient concentrations that would effectively whiten teeth may be used.
The UK has 12 months to adopt this directive but in effect tooth whitening by dentists is now legal.
This is great news because the products used to whiten teeth have been scientifically proven to be safe and effective. If you woul dlike to benefit from this change in the law please contact reception to book a whitening examination.
